Vice President & General Manager Technology Service Support

Michael Walker has executive responsibility for Technology Services Support(TSS) in the Asia Pacific for IBM’s Global Technology Services business. This includes delivery, sales, and market development for servicing IBM’s Systems Hardware business as well as multi-vendor support for OEM hardware and software technologies. His team of more than 1700 delivery and sales professionals support all clients and routes to market, along with full P& L responsibility for the 18 countries within the region. The team is committed to exceeding the client’s expectations and delivering real client value for all technology solutions.

As a 25 years veteran, Michael has held a variety of IBM positions in development, product marketing, Systems, and Services sales. In the Asia Pacific and the US, Michael served as an executive in IBM’s Systems Hardware business supporting many Fortune 500 accounts with experience in multiple industries. He was also the Director of Sales in Integrated Communication Services (ICS) in IBM’s Global Technology Services (GTS) where he & his team had responsibility for enabling and supporting customers’ networks and communications infrastructures. Michael’s career with IBM started as a development engineer in the Storage Division and expanded into roles as a Product Marketing Manager, Customer Support Engineer, and Failure Analysis Engineer.

Michael is a graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He and his wife Jovann currently reside in Singapore while his daughter Imari is starting her Ph.D. at Duke University and son Bryson has graduated from Georgia Tech University in Computer Science.
