Data shows link between cloud automation and innovation

A recent IDG Research report reveals that 51 percent of companies that use multiple cloud vendors face a similar challenge — they’re too busy managing IT infrastructure to focus on innovation. IT decision makers surveyed also rank innovation topics as the top two cloud automation goals, followed closely by IT cost reduction.

Another interesting find — respondents prioritize analytics (90 percent) and AI solutions to help improve ROI on IT automation.

The survey discovers that increased infrastructure automation is a critical factor in providing IT professionals with opportunities for innovation. Cloud service providers like IBM help organizations successfully integrate, manage and optimize open, multi-cloud environments.
