Simplify your SAP cloud migration journey
More and more clients are planning for a digital future driven by cloud. Companies are realizing cloud migration is a journey — and one they need to undertake. This journey requires careful planning, as it’s a multistep process that will help the clients to realize their vision.
Many companies use SAP to run their mission critical-business processes and intend to move them to the cloud. But a few are still delaying — not because they don’t want to make the move, but because concerns around information protection, resiliency, and regulatory compliance are holding them back.
Among more than 270 U.S. businesses surveyed by Frost & Sullivan, 68 percent said they faced “insurmountable challenges in migrating their workloads or data” when moving from the enterprise data center to a cloud environment. Cloud migrations are particularly concerning when major legacy business applications are being moved. Nearly 70 percent of respondents to the survey named workload migration as the main challenge against moving their applications. Moreover, 58 percent of companies said they have inadequate cloud expertise in their organizations.
Tackle cloud migration head-on
By engaging an experienced cloud provider, organizations can easily mitigate many of the common issues of cloud migrations. They can have a smooth deployment with careful planning for each type of workload they’re deploying. Enterprises need a heterogeneous and hybrid cloud provider that can ensure security, resiliency, compliance and time support for many different operating systems and databases, such as HANA, DB2, MS_SQL, and Oracle.
But how can you make sure you are choosing a skilled partner? By meeting with IBM teams at 2018 SAPPHIRENOW conference, you can experience how IBM’s latest Hybrid Cloud Management solution is helping clients across the globe ease their cloud journey through managed cloud transformation with services for migrating and running enterprise applications and workloads — such as SAP, Oracle, e-Commerce, and Collaboration — on the IBM Cloud.
IBM will be at SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual SAP Conference this June 5–7 in Orlando. Visit IBM at booth #612 to talk to IBM-SAP experts, and check out the event website to see what we’re doing at the event.
Attend my session on the IBM booth at 1 p.m. on June 6 and learn about how to “Take Advantage of HANA on Power Systems on IBM Cloud.”
